We’re in Viet Nam now. We did the teaching time – Dennis and I finished right on time – we each spoke 1 hour and 15 minutes with interpreter. No doubt this is new for them – Purpose Driven Church and Purpose Driven Life. Dennis really got wound up and blessed them and blessed them again and again. What we have experienced here in the city is the cream of the crop. There were a few moments in our conference that I was touched with tears – one when we were sing a song that I knew…. We bring the sacrifice of praise….. And the other time was when they prayed.
It was Elena’s grandmother’s birthday – 86 years old. She came to Christ 50 years ago through a missionary. Today because of her there are 14 house churches with about 25 people attending at each. Just think… through one person there have been 14 pastors raised up bring to Christ about 350 people. Now that is called multiplication. We sang to her and she kissed my hand several times saying she loves pastors because of them spreading the gospel. She said that heaven is where its at that everything else is passing a way. And everyone listened attentively.
It’s harder to connect here because of the language, but it is obvious God is moving. I talked with someone from Hanoi who is seeing Christianity spread among the military. She said she has 300 people in her house for worship services – wow.
Later, we had a huge meal for everyone – 40 total people….about 15 pastors, 15 wives and some single adults.
